Hiking at Mesa Verde today. This place captured their imaginations. They were instantly turned to Pueblo people circa 1200 AD, but seemed more interested in hunting big horned sheep than grinding corn into meal with stones.
I am lucky to have such a place so close by! We have many national parks and monuments within a 3 hour drive and I hope to show my children all of them.
